Fox has released three new clips from tonight’s episode of Gotham, which is titled “Mommy’s Little Monster.” As the title suggests, Oswald Cobblepot/ The Penguin will be a major focus of this week’s instalment, as he continues the search for his kidnapped mother. On that note, the first clip shows Penguin finding her location. Unfortunately for him, Theo Galavan is there to spoil his jubilation. There is also a bit of payoff involving what’s been going on with Butch as of late.
Next, we see the two halves of Edward Nygma discussing the fallout from last week’s incident with Kristen Kringle. Those who have been waiting to see him expedite his journey to becoming The Riddler may be pleased with what’s to come. It’s not often that you see a guy send himself on a scavenger hunt!
In the third and final clip, Selina Kyle drops in unexpectedly at Wayne Manor to find Bruce spending time with his new gal pal, Silver St. Cloud. Any speculation as to whether or not Silver shares her Uncle Theo’s mean streak can now be put to rest after viewing the exchange she has with Selina. If anything, this adds more intrigue to Bruce and Selina’s already storied relationship.
If we can take anything away from these snippets, it’s that Gotham’s producers have a real nailbiter of an episode in store for us. It’s nice to see that the show has found itself and has been doing a good job of fleshing out characters this season.
