The Borgias alum Colm Feore is looking to continue his trend of portraying creepy characters, as he will next take residence in Gotham City to prey upon a bunch of hapless orphans. According to Deadline, Feore has joined Gotham as none other than Dr. Francis Dulmacher, who’s perhaps better known by his villainous moniker The Dollmaker.

The Dollmaker was first mentioned in the series’ second episode, “Selina Kyle,” as the man responsible for the mass kidnappings of the city’s impoverished and displaced children. There’s no word yet on when he’ll make his debut on the show, but Deadline did provide the following character description:

“With a zealotry bordering on madness, and aided by his genius-level intellect and vast medical expertise, Dr. Dulmacher pursues his demented researches, even as the bloody costs of his actions grow ever greater.”

There have been a few different iterations of the Dollmaker character in the pages of DC comics, none of which go by the name Francis Dulmacher. So, it’s likely that Gotham will be giving us a new interpretation of him. As far as Feore goes, I think he should be a fine addition to the series and his role on Gotham will mark the third time he’s played a comic book character; he was the Frost Giants’ leader King Laufey in Thor, and played Oscorp henchman Donald Menken in last year’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Tell us, what do you think of Feore joining Gotham? Are you looking forward to seeing him make his debut on the show? Sound off below!
