CBS has released the first two images from next week’s episode of Supergirl, and they offer up a first look at Daniel DiMaggio as the young Kal-El as Kara returns to Krypton…well, sort of.

For further details on what to expect from this episode of Supergirl – titled “For The Girl Who Has Everything” – here’s the official synopsis:

Kara’s friends must find a way to save her life when a parasitic alien attaches itself to her and traps her in a dream world where her family is alive and her home planet was never destroyed. Also, Alex, Hank and the DEO must fend off a Kryptonian attack while Kara is out of commission, on SUPERGIRL, Monday, February 8th on CBS.

It’s definitely going to be interesting to see how Kara’s time on Krypton (even it is basically all just a dream) has an impact on her story moving forward, especially as Supergirl’s aunt is actually the season’s big bad. Spending time with a young Kal-El should be fun for fans as well, and will certainly make for an exciting new element for the show to explore.

Regardless of how it all plays out, Supergirl has a tough task ahead as it looks to top this past Monday’s superb Bizarro episode, but “For The Girl Who Has Everything” is definitely shaping up to be another exciting instalment in CBS’ series.
