Some more Marvel-related goodies from the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly have arrived, as the magazine is featuring a couple of new images from the upcoming second season of Daredevil. They’re not the best quality (we’ll update this post if and when the pics are officially released), but they do give us new looks at both Frank Castle, AKA The Punisher (Jon Bernthal), and Elodie Yung as Elektra.
This new season has been described as “Daredevil Vs. Punisher,” and judging from the pic with Castle and the Man Without Fear in chains, that is most definitely accurate. Both characters have clashed numerous times in the comics, but there has always been a certain amount of respect between them and they usually wind up on the same side eventually. Will the show echo that? Whether it does or not, except some serious fisticuffs before it happens.
How Elektra factors in is also a mystery at this point, but Yung has been snapped on set with Charlie Cox in his costume, and the two seemed to be fighting together against a larger threat. Time will tell, though, if they end up on the same side or not.
Daredevil season 2 is set to premiere sometime in 2016.
