Dave Bautista is currently in the midst of shooting his fond farewell as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Drax the Destroyer in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but the former professional wrestler has plenty of upcoming projects on his plate to keep him busy when his association with the franchise draws to a close.

His current slate includes Denis Villenueve’s blockbuster sci-fi sequel Dune: Part Two, high concept intergalactic actioner Universe’s Most Wanted, M. Night Shyamalan’s next thriller Knock at the Cabin, Paul W.S. Anderson and Milla Jovovich’s George R.R. Martin adaptation In the Lost Lands, animated family film Groove Tails, Netflix’s Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas, and Rian Johnson’s Knives Out sequel.

However, Bautista has revealed that he’s got yet another effort lined up, but he’s not at liberty to say what it is. Taking to social media, the star teased that he’s working on an animated series for somebody, that’s about something, and he’s very excited about it.

That’s about as vague as it gets, but Bautista has been vocal in choosing film and television roles that challenge him as a performer above all else, so there’s a distinct possibility it’s going to be as far removed from your run of the mill animated adventure as you can get.
