The Defenders Show Off A Very Different Side In Fun New Photoshoot

Despite the much darker and more adult nature of Marvel’s TV shows on Netflix, one thing they’re not short on is fun. However, it’s seeing all of these heroes come together for the first time as The Defenders which promises to be the best thing yet about this grittier corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Uniting the leads from Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, alongside a lengthy list of supporting characters, the eight-part event series premieres this summer and now, a brand new photoshoot has surfaced showing Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter and Finn Jones having, well, a lot of fun! There’s nothing new revealed in the gallery above, but we do get some great shots of all four heroes as they’ll appear in The Defenders.

One particularly interesting shot shows Ritter making a point of highlighting her butt to the camera. Entertainment Weekly has faced some criticism on social media for the fact that the only female member of The Defenders cast is posing in such a cliched manner, but it really doesn’t appear as if she’s all that bothered by it (that, or she’s poking fun at how stupid it is).

Marvel and Netflix have yet to reveal The Defenders‘ premiere date, but this week has seen the debut of the first official images along with some intriguing new details, so we expect that date to arrive pretty soon.
