Ra’s Al Ghul Returns In Promo And Photos For Next Week’s Gotham

Gotham is enjoying a terrific run at the moment. With Bruce Wayne stepping up to become a vigilante and more of the villains coming out of the woodwork - like Jonathan Crane's Scarecrow - it's thrilling to see the legendary Batman mythos slowly begin to form. Let's hope the quality continues in the fourth episode of season 4, titled "The Demon's Head."

Gotham is enjoying a terrific run at the moment. With Bruce Wayne stepping up to become a vigilante and more of the villains coming out of the woodwork – like Jonathan Crane’s Scarecrow – it’s thrilling to see the legendary Batman mythos slowly begin to form. Let’s hope the quality continues in the fourth episode of season 4, titled “The Demon’s Head.”

Yes, as the title indicates, Alexander Siddig’s Ra’s al Ghul is back in Bruce Wayne’s hometown to put a new evil scheme into action. This time it revolves around a mystical ancient knife that David Mazouz’s teen billionaire discovers. In the promo for the episode up above, we see the sought-after dagger catching the attention of everyone from Jim Gordon to Barbara Kean. Like the ominous voiceover says: “All tremble before the Demon’s head.”

Here’s the official synopsis for the episode:

THE DEADLY DAGGER ON AN ALL-NEW “GOTHAM” THURSDAY, OCTOBER 12, ON FOX

Bruce Wayne puts the lives of Gotham Natural History Museum historian Niles Winthrop (guest star Dakin Matthews) and his grandson, Alex (guest-star Benjamin Stockholm), in danger in an attempt to uncover the meaning behind his prized knife from the auction. Meanwhile, Ra’s Al Ghul (Alexander Siddig) proves he’ll take deadly measures to achieve what he wants. Also, with Sofia Falcone (Crystal Reed) in town, she is on a mission to win back Gotham from Penguin in the all-new “A Dark Knight: The Demon’s Head” episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, Oct. 12 (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Last but not least, we’ve got a collection of new promo images for “The Demon’s Head” above. As well as some snaps of Bruce and Alfred, Barbara and Ra’s al Ghul, the photos give us a further look at Crystal Reed’s Sofia Falcone, after she made her Gotham debut in last week’s episode “They Who Hide Behind Masks.”

As the synopsis explains, the heiress to the Falcone criminal empire will go head to head with the Penguin as they fight for control of Gotham’s underworld. Meanwhile, she looks to be getting pretty cosy with Ben McKenzie’s Gordon.

Gotham season 4 airs every Thursday night on Fox.
