Arrow and The Flash are currently taking a short break, but The CW has managed to keep our interest piqued by releasing the synopsis for the April 6th instalment of the former.

Titled “Eleven-Fifty-Nine,” it sounds like the episode will bring us one step closer to finding out which beloved character is lying in that grave as Malcolm Merlyn’s dastardly plan to get revenge on the Green Arrow continues to play out as he sets his sights on a high profile prison break.

Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Diggle (David Ramsey) learn that Merlyn (John Barrowman) is going to try to break Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) out of prison. Meanwhile, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) gets a surprising offer and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) has a heart-to-heart talk with Curtis (guest star Echo Kellum). Rob Hardy directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Keto Shimizu.

It’s fair to say that none of us expected Arrow to head in this direction, but Malcolm being removed as the leader of the League of Assassins shook things up in a major way. That mystery about the grave remains compelling regardless of the protagonist though, and it will be interesting to see how much closer this episode of Arrow will bring us to the reveal.
