Details Emerge On Two New Characters Joining Arrow Season 7

With each passing season, it's a given that our favorite DC TV shows add a few more heroes and villains to the mix in order to keep things fresh. Already, we know that Batwoman will be showing up in next fall's mega crossover event, but we'd be fools to assume Arrow's producers don't have at least several other aces up their sleeves.

With each passing season, it’s a given that our favorite DC TV shows add a few more heroes and villains to the mix in order to keep things fresh. Already, we know that Batwoman will be showing up in next fall’s mega crossover event, but we’d be fools to assume Arrow‘s producers don’t have at least several other aces up their sleeves.

So, while it remains to be seen if either of our mystery dates to be discussed today are whomever gave Stephen Amell goosebumps upon hearing of their arrival, we can at least provide some key details about those joining the party.

According to TV Line, “Team Arrow will have to contend with an ambitious, young, anti-vigilante recruit at the SCPD” all while Oliver Queen remains in Supermax lockup – and we’re guessing whenever he’s eventually sprung from the clink as well. On top of that, the outlet says, “If vigilantes were vampires, consider her your Buffy.”

Now, if that doesn’t cause speculation to run rampant, we don’t know what will. This could be anyone from an original character to someone culled from DC Comics’ vast mythology and reimagined for television. And with the SCPD currently in shambles after Ricardo Diaz corrupting every facet of it, we’re very intrigued to see how the pieces will be picked up in season 7.

In addition to her, the hunt is on for someone to play a “successful tech whiz who is gay, and who harbors a heartbreaking past” in a recurring role. What’s noteworthy is how the first part of that description mirrors this series’ take on Curtis Holt AKA Mr. Terrific, so we can’t rule out this being either a foil or love interest for him.

Arrow returns for its seventh season on Monday nights this fall on The CW.
