The CBS series follows university professor Elizabeth McCord (Téa Leoni), who is chosen as a successor when the Secretary of the State is killed in a mysterious accident. Over the course of the first season, we watch as she adapts to working in the White House while juggling family life with the support of her husband Henry (Tim Daly).
