Extended Supernatural/Scooby-Doo Crossover Promo Is Sheer Awesomeness

Over the years, Scooby-Doo and the gang have taken part in some memorable team-ups. Believe it or not, those meddling kids can lay claim to having met the likes of Batman and Robin, the Three Stooges, the Harlem Globetrotters and even the cast of Gilligan’s Island. In fact, DC even published an ongoing comic titled Scooby-Doo Team-up in recent years.

But, later this month, the Great Dane with an insatiable hunger will cross paths with Sam and Dean Winchester in what’s expected to be an unforgettable animated mashup. Sure, Supernatural is giving us much to look forward to in the near future – such as Jensen Ackles playing a new character – but this’ll likely take the cake as the most memorable thing to come out of season 13.

If you require more evidence of that, this newly surfaced extended promo should do the trick. Really, it gives the impression that the crossover has incorporated some of the best aspects of both respective series, leaving little room to wonder why Supernatural creator Eric Kripke is all smiles.

Personally, I can’t help but notice how Dean steals the show here – or, at least, that’s the impression given so far. Sure, his pursuit of Daphne and willingness to take a bullet for Scooby may be among the highlights, but for me, the clincher was him adding his patented “son of a bitch!” to the string of catch phrases shouted by the Mystery Machine gang.
