First Look Promo For Arrow Season 5, Episode 2; “The Recruits”

The CW has released a first look at what's to come in next week's episode of Arrow, and it definitely appears as if Oliver Queen is going to have his hands full trying to train his new recruits. They're clearly diamonds in the rough, and with Green Arrow back to his killer ways, it's easy to imagine things going wrong with this at some point.

The CW has released a first look at what’s to come in next week’s episode of Arrow, and it definitely appears as if Oliver Queen is going to have his hands full trying to train his new recruits. They’re clearly diamonds in the rough, and with Green Arrow back to his killer ways, it’s easy to imagine things going wrong with this at some point.

For more details on what to expect from the next episode of Arrow, here’s the synopsis for “The Recruits.”

Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) new recruits for Team Arrow are Curtis (Echo Kellum), Wild Dog (guest star Rick Gonzalez) and Evelyn Sharp (guest star Madison McLaughlin). Unfortunately, the Green Arrow’s training methods prove to be too much for some of them to handle. Meanwhile, in the flashbacks, Oliver’s initiation into the Bratva continues. James Bamford directed the episode written by Speed Weed & Beth Schwartz.

Tonight’s episode of Arrow also revealed what Laurel Lance whispered to Oliver before her demise. She told him to make sure that there’s always a Black Canary, and while Evelyn is probably the most likely candidate as of right now, bear in mind that it’s already been confirmed that the original will be returning to the series in some form.

Overall, the season 5 premiere of Arrow definitely felt like an improvement, but that was also the case last year and the show quickly lost the faith of fans as it progressed. Still, things are looking good for the time being, and next week’s instalment should be well worth checking out.
