Barry Fears For His Friends’ Lives In New Synopsis For The Flash

Things aren't looking too good for Team Flash at the moment. Clifford DeVoe's plan to hoover up the powers of all the bus metas he created at the beginning of the season is working - recently, he even possessed the body of Barry Allen's friend Ralph Dibny AKA Elongated Man, leaving his fate in question. This loss will hit the Scarlet Speedster hard over the rest of the season. As evidenced by this new synopsis for "Think Fast", the penultimate episode of The Flash season 4. Check it out below:

Clifford DeVoe’s plan to hoover up the powers of all the bus metas he created at the beginning of the season is working – recently, he even possessed the body of Barry Allen’s friend Ralph Dibny AKA Elongated Man, leaving his fate in question. This loss will hit the Scarlet Speedster hard over the rest of the season, too, as evidenced by this new synopsis for “Think Fast,” the penultimate episode of The Flash season 4.

When DeVoe assaults an A.R.G.U.S. facility to complete his Enlightenment Machine, Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes the only way he can stop him is if he allows Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) to accompany him into the facility. Still shaken by Ralph’s death, Barry isn’t sure he wants to risk any more of his friends’ lives and considers taking on DeVoe solo. Viet Nguyen directed the episode written by Sam Chalsen & Kristen Kim (#422). Original airdate 5/15/2018.

Barry’s over-protection of his friends will likely cause some friction between the STAR Labs gang. That said, after what happened to Ralph, you can see why he’d react this way. Likewise, Caitlin won’t be as able to defend herself as she once was able to, as a recent episode saw her icy alter ego Killer Frost shockingly removed by DeVoe – just when she was getting used to sharing a body with her metahuman alternate personality.

“Think Fast” will also feature a guest spot from Arrow‘s David Ramsey. We can easily see how Diggle will fit into the episode, too, as DeVoe is set to attack an A.R.G.U.S. facility in order to steal some parts for his Enlightenment Machine. That should be fun to watch, as Ramsey’s Flash cameos usually let him play a lighter version of the same character he plays on the other The CW superhero show.

The Flash returns next week for the twentieth episode of season 4, titled “Therefore She Is.” Be sure to catch it on The CW on Tuesday, May 1st.
