Now that the season premiere of The Flash is within reaching distance, it’s not just the network who are hyping what’s to come. Granted, they’ve done a fine job of doing just that with various trailers and the like, but it often falls on the shoulders of the actors to play their part.
Speaking of which, here’s what Grant Gusin, the Scarlet Speedster himself, had to say while recently speaking with Bam Smack Pow in regard to how season 5 will make a long-running dream of his a reality:
“We’ve got an action sequence in it. It’s something straight out of the comics that when I read in 2013, when I shooting Arrow and dreaming of stuff we could do someday on Flash. We’re doing something I thought we would never be able to do. There’s a really cool action sequence.”
Naturally, there’s no way of knowing which comic Gustin’s picturing in his head, but there’s so much that can be set up come the day of premiere. For one, I imagine that Nora West-Allen will factor heavily into things, in addition to Cicada beginning his reign of terror.
If we’re to do the math, he could be talking about something that was happening in the New 52 around that time, but again, we won’t learn for certain until the day arrives. At least he confirmed it’s an action sequence and not some sort of graphic intimacy shared between Barry and Iris hinted at by a recently surfaced deleted scene from last year.
The Flash returns for its fifth season on Tuesday, October 9 on The CW. Will you be tuning in? Let us know in the usual place below!
