He’s one half of Nelson and Murdock (Attorneys at Law) and a longtime resident of Hell’s Kitchen, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) is all but set to appear in Marvel and Netflix’s The Defenders.

News comes to us via MCU Exchange, relaying Henson’s appearance at a fan convention over the weekend. It was here that the actor confirmed that Foggy will indeed appear in Marvel’s ensemble series, but stopped short of revealing the extent of his involvement. But surely that won’t curb the speculation!

Beyond the four primary superheroes – Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist – the only other actor confirmed on The Defenders‘ casting docket is Eka Darville (that’s Malcolm in Jessica Jones). That will all change come 2017, when showrunners Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez will begin assembling Marvel’s TV super team.

Until such a time, here’s MCU Exchange’s report:

“During an appearance at a convention this weekend, Elden Henson, who plays Foggy Nelson in the Daredevil series, confirmed that he’ll be appearing in The Defenders in an unknown capacity. This makes the second cast member from one the solo shows to be confirmed for The Defenders – outside of our heroes, of course – as Eka Darville (Malcolm in Jessica Jones) has previously confirmed his involvement.”

Considering that Luke Cage and Iron Fist are yet to make their standalone debuts, The Defenders is still a ways away yet. It will, however, arrive on Netflix before additional seasons of Jessica Jones and Daredevil, while there’s also the Punisher spinoff to contend with.
