Details on what’s to come in the second half of the season are scarce, though Fox has released the following (and very brief) synopsis:

It’s getting chilly in Gotham. Mr. Freeze joins the cast when Gotham returns with all-new episodes, February 29th on FOX!

The decision to introduce Mr. Freeze so soon in Gotham has obviously been a rather controversial one, especially as he’s yet another villain who is suiting up years before Bruce Wayne dons the cape and cowl as Batman. Even so, it should still be pretty interesting to see how his role in the series plays out and how it sets up his future as one of the Dark Knight’s most deadly foes.

The first half of Gotham‘s second season was a major improvement over its debut year, so it will be good to have the show back in February, especially as we get closer and closer to Bruce embarking on a heroic path.
