Otherwise known as The Punisher, Jon Bernthal’s gun-toting vigilante is seen as a more relentless and unforgiving spawn of Daredevil himself, and the sizzle reel examines how the twosome really aren’t that different after all. “You know you’re one bad day away from being me,” Bernthal’s formidable Castle growls.

Returning to the fray are Matt Murdock’s partners in legal crime, Foggy and Karen – Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll, respectively – who appear to be more involved in the seedy affairs of Hell’s Kitchen than ever before. Against their will, of course. There’s also fleeting shots of Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple, fresh off her cameo appearance in Jessica Jones, while the explosive snippet closes out with Matt Murdock crossing paths with a former flame, Elektra Natchios (Elodie Yung).

At its core, Daredevil‘s sophomore season will be anchored by the conflict between Castle and Murdock. Perhaps more so than even Wilson Fisk, The Punisher will put our Man Without Fear through his paces, culminating in the real moral conundrum: is Matt really one bad day from becoming a mass murderer?

Hell’s Kitchen will play host to Frank Castle and his one-man reign of terror when Daredevil season 2 premieres exclusively on Netflix come March 18.
