The seventh (and penultimate) season of HBO’s ever-popular Game of Thrones continues shooting in a couple of different locations around the globe, but it’s what’s currently going down in and around the city of Seville, Spain that has everybody talking. We’ve already had confirmation of that highly anticipated face-to-face between Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, but that pales in comparison to this.
According to the guys over at Watchers on The Wall, 17 major, or principal characters are expected to appear in one massive scene that’s to be set at The Dragonpit in King’s landing. They are: Cersei Lannister, Jaime Lannister, Qyburn, Gregor Clegane, Bronn of the Blackwater, Euron Greyjoy, Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister, Jorah Mormont, Missandei, Varys, Theon Greyjoy, Jon Snow, Davos Seaworth, Brienne of Tarth, Podrick Payne, and Sandor Clegane – and apparently there’s even more to come.
[wgtc_youtube video_id=”qMx820zxTAE”]Obviously, this opens up the possibility for any number of potentially exciting and explosive interactions, but perhaps most intriguing of all is the fact that both Clegane brothers (The Hound and The Mountain) are going to be in the same place at the same time. Fans expected these two to clash last season in the “Cleganebowl” when The Faith Militant needed a champion to go against Cersei’s undead behemoth for her trail by combat, but the new queen took care of that whole situation with a bit of wildfire.
Of course, just because these guys happen to be in the same location doesn’t mean they’ll necessarily begin hacking lumps out of each other, but one has to believe they’ll at least cross paths, possibly setting up a scrap for a later date.
