Game Of Thrones Season 7 Expected To Arrive In July

Though many shows have tried, few (if any) have reached the level of popularity that Game of Thrones has. It's without a doubt one of the biggest series on the air right now, dominating ratings and awards shows and always finding itself coming up in conversation, even in the breaks between seasons. Speaking of which, fans have been patiently waiting for the show to return for its penultimate outing and while it's expected to be with us at some point in the summer, an exact premiere date hasn't been revealed yet.

Though many shows have tried, few (if any) have reached the level of popularity that Game of Thrones has. It’s without a doubt one of the biggest series on the air right now, dominating ratings and awards shows and always finding itself coming up in conversation, even in the breaks between seasons. Speaking of which, fans have been patiently waiting for the show to return for its penultimate outing and while it’s expected to be with us at some point in the summer, an exact premiere date hasn’t been revealed yet.

Over the past few months, various cast members have teased some exciting things to come – with some even saying the next batch of episodes will blow our minds – but with no exact date for us to mark in our diaries, the wait has been rather agonizing. Thankfully, there’s some good news to report on today thanks to Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos Seaworth. Speaking to Independent, he revealed that Game of Thrones will be back on our screens in July.

“I’ve been disappointing various people around the world because it was meant to come out in April. It’s July now, I think.”

Looking further ahead, the actor touched on the timeframe for when the show’s eighth and final season would premiere, saying that as far as he knows, it’ll be in September.

“There’s going to be a launch and something special happening this year for the premiere of season 7. The bad news is, there will only be seven episodes, and the final season starts again as far as I know in September.”

So, while it’s nice to hear that there’s not too much longer to go now until Game of Thrones returns, it seems that the wait in between season 7 and 8 will be about a year, given that the latter won’t premiere until September 2018. That makes perfect sense, especially since some of the show’s stars have begun to move onto other projects, and while it is a long time to wait, we at least have a rough timeframe now for when to expect everything.
