The Watchers of The Wall site has been a great source for early info on HBO’s Game of Thrones for years now, and as shooting continues on the show’s seventh and penultimate season, they’ve come through yet again with some intriguing new details on where we’ll find Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen, and who she’ll be meeting with.

If you want to go into season 7 completely blind, be wanted that some mild spoilers follow.

We already know Dany was making her way to King’s Landing at the climax of the season 6 finale, but now we’ve learned of a specific location that she’ll be stopping off at on her way to claim the iron throne: The Dragonpit. This is where Dany’s ancestors used to house their fire-breathing pets, but it’s since deteriorated into a ruin on Rhaenys’ Hill in the city – though something tells me The Mother of Dragons will be doing some renovating.

Perhaps more interesting is that we also know of two principal characters Dany will be meeting for the first time at some point: Ser Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) and Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie). The exact circumstances surrounding this meeting remains a mystery, but considering both Davos and Brienne are now in The Stark’s camp, it’s entirely possible an alliance is on the cards – and with both the Tyrells and the Martells (well, what’s left of them) also behind Dany, this would form quite the formidable faction indeed.

Game of Thrones will return for its shorter than usual seventh season next summer.
