The Good Wife was a surprise hit in 2009 and now, as the third season dawns, CBS is promoting one of the many things that have made this primetime soap so popular, sex.
Fans of The Good Wife will recall that season two ended on a sexy note as Julianna Marguilies‘s Alicia and Josh Charles‘s Will finally consummated their longtime attraction in a celebratory Hotel tryst. CBS certainly doesn’t want you to forget about the sexy coupling as this Season 3 promo poster shows the following.
The Good Wife is moving to Sunday’s at 9:00 Pm ET, this fall, going head to head with ABC’s long time Sunday franchise Desperate Housewives, and the poster shows that CBS is pulling no punches in the Sunday ratings fight. As for the goings on of season three; CBS revealed the title of this fall’s premiere episode and it looks like the show will pick up right where it left off with the aptly titled episode, “The Next Day.”
Former House star Lisa Edelstein is joining the cast of The Good Wife this fall in a recurring role that is expected to have an impact on Will and Alicia’s new romance while Alan Cumming has been bumped up from recurring to full time on the series; Cumming received an Emmy nomination for his role as Eli Gold. Finally, Eddie Izzard, of the FX drama The Riches, has signed on for an as of yet unspecified guest role.
Season three of The Good Wife debuts Sunday, September 25th.
