Hours before tonight’s episode of The Flash airs, The CW has released one final clip which showcases a meeting between Caitlin Snow and Gorilla Grodd. Since we last saw him, the CGI (which was already very good in season one) has improved a great deal, and he honestly wouldn’t look too out of place on the big screen.

Here’s the synopsis for the episode (appropriately titled “Gorilla Warfare”), courtesy of the network:

Grodd returns to Central City and kidnaps Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker). Barry (Grant Gustin) and team race to find her before it’s too late. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) plans his first date with the new barista at Jitters, Kendra Saunders (guest star Ciara Renée) and Patty (guest star Shantel VanSanten) begins to suspect Barry is hiding something from her.

Between Zoom last week, King Shark a couple of weeks before that, and now Gorilla Grodd, season two of The Flash really isn’t holding back this year. The special effects here though are particularly impressive and should instantly bring any doubts about the villain not being a feasible choice for season three’s big bad to an end.

Check back here later on tonight for a first look at the next episode of The Flash, and until then, enjoy the clip above.
