That’s not to say that the finger of blame should be pointed solely in the studio’s direction, far from it – untimely leaks and the superhero genre practically go hand in hand at this point. Nevertheless, it’s fair to say that the avalanche of screenshots and leaked scenes – coupled with those detailed descriptions of entire sequences – have threatened to steal some (all?) of the thunder away from Marvel and ABC’s starry new series before it’s even arrived.

But the first trailer is coming – very soon, in fact, now that Marvel’s Facebook channel has churned out a brief trailer tease in which Iwan Rheon’s Maximus the Mad continues to plot his brother’s (Anson Mount) downfall. That sibling rivalry looks set to become the beating heart of Inhumans – for the eight-part first season, at least – in a few weeks’ time, and it’s small wonder why viewers are already drawing comparisons between Marvel’s freshman drama and Game of Thrones.

Also starring Serinda Swan, Ken Leung, Eme Ikwuakor, Isabelle Cornish, Ellen Woglom, Sonya Balmores and Mike Moh, Inhumans is all set to make its debut via select IMAX theaters on September 1st. The first two episodes will premiere via the large-screen format, before Marvel’s family drama makes the journey over to ABC where it’ll occupy a Friday night slot.
