The actor has been involved in the soap opera since its premiere in 1987, portraying Eric Forrester. During its three-decade run, the show has gathered a loyal following of viewers, who have gotten immensely invested in its story and characters. This is only natural, especially when it comes to McCook’s character, whom they’ve watched develop over so many years.

Watching him on screen for so long means that fans of The Bold and the Beautiful would be devastated if the actor were to ever say goodbye to the show. Perhaps because of this, concerns regarding his departure tend to arise from time to time, and very recently, worry has been consuming fans. The show’s plot seems to be heading down a dangerous path for McCook’s character, which only increases speculation that this veteran may be on the way out. Are fans right to be concerned?

Will John McCook leave The Bold and the Beautiful?

Fans can sigh in relief because John McCook is not leaving The Bold and the Beautiful anytime soon. According to a report from Celeb Dirty Laundry, the actor renewed his contract in early September and will remain on the show until 2026, at the very least. Of course, contracts can be broken, and things in life may happen that can force McCook out of the series. For the time being, however, there doesn’t seem to be anything to worry about.

McCook will keep entertaining us all in The Bold and the Beautiful, as new episodes continue to air on CBS.
