It’s A Race To The Finish Line On First Poster For Supergirl And The Flash’s Crossover

The CW came close to picking up Supergirl last year, but decided against adding another superhero TV show to their line-up due to not wanting to become known for accommodating fans of that genre alone. That's understandable, but the downside to that is the Girl of Steel calling a different part of the Multiverse home away from the likes of Green Arrow and The Flash.

It’s a good job then that Barry Allen is able to travel between worlds, because he’s going to be making his presence felt in National City later this month.

The crossover episode will air on CBS, and it’s expected that this will lead to Supergirl possibly appearing in The Flash‘s third season. Whether or not that will happen remains to be seen, but the official synopsis for the episode sheds some light on what we should expect from their meeting.

Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.

It doesn’t sound like The Flash will be sticking around for long then, but this should still be a must-watch episode of Supergirl for fans of both heroes.

Now, how much do you want to bet that they’ll have to race in order to open up a portal to send The Fastest Man Alive back home?
