Jane Levy – star of Suburgatory and the Evil Dead remake  has been cast in the upcoming CBS sitcom My Time/Your Time, a new comedy from the minds of Hilary Winston and How I Met Your Mother‘s Carter Bays and Craig Thomas. The main writing duties of My Time/Your Time were taken up by Winston, who adapted the new show from a web series called 7P/10E.

The basic idea of the web series chronicles the budding romance of a couple who meet online and decide to enter into a long-distance relationship. The story of 7P/10E was told through a series of text messages, social network posts, and Skype chats posted on YouTube (where the series proper played out), but it’s unclear how heavily My Time/Your Time will incorporate those elements into the television adaptation.

A few details about Levy’s character were given, fortunately, and the actress will be playing Marly, an optimistic New York City-based artist who has ambitions of being a playwright. No news was yet given regarding her male co-star or if, most intriguingly, the series will take place entirely on social media and Skype chats, like a sort of romantic comedy version of Unfriended.

Pamela Fryman, who was a director/executive producer throughout How I Met Your Mother‘s run, will direct the pilot episode.

Tell us, what do you think of the idea and potential for My Time/Your Time? Could it be the next big hit for CBS? Let us know in the comments.
