Jeff Goldblum and series co-creator Tina Fey are just two of the guest stars to feature in next month’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 2, with Netflix unveiling a string of new stills today for the show’s sophomore run.

Welcoming back Ellie Kemper’s inimitable title character to the streets of NYC, the next batch of episodes will make room for the likes of Fred Armisen, Anna Camp, Amy Sedaris, Zosia Mamet, Evan Jonigkeit and David Cross. They’ll be joined by Carol Kane, Jane Krakowski and Tituss Burgess as Kimmy’s wonderfully flamboyant close friend, Titus Andromedon.

Continuing to find her feet in the bustling concrete jungle, Netflix’s official logline for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 2 can be found below:

Ellie Kemper stars as Kimmy Schmidt, a woman who escapes from a doomsday cult and starts life over in New York. After living in a cult for fifteen years, Kimmy decides to reclaim her life and start over in New York City. Armed with just a backpack, light-up sneakers, and a couple of way-past-due library books, she’s ready to take on a world she didn’t even think existed anymore. Wide-eyed but resilient, nothing is going to stand in her way.

Behind the lens, Fey will once again produce the series in tandem with old cohort Robert Carlock. Executive producers Jeff Richmond and David Miner round out the mini 30 Rock reunion.

Netflix has slated season 2 of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt for a premiere on April 15, when all 13 episodes of the kooky comedy will be available to stream on demand. It’s by no means the end of the company’s beloved sitcom though, with plans already in place for third season to follow in quick succession.
