In just a few days, the moment that fans of Supernatural have seemingly waited an eternity for will arrive. We are, of course, talking about Jeffrey Dean Morgan returning as John Winchester, something that’s been itching to be crossed off many wishlists since the conclusion to season 2.

Since being initially announced, Morgan himself expressed amazement at how far the horror series has come, even saying he had “a blast” filming the milestone. And if that weren’t enough, it was also confirmed that Kurt Fuller will return as the villainous Zachariah. For those keeping tabs, he bit the dust during season 5.

By now, I’m guessing you’re ready to see more than just words, so it’s fortunate for us all that the network have actually released a clip from Sam and Dean’s 300th (televised) adventure. Found at the top of this article, it shows John having a conversation with the boys that played out exclusively within our imaginations until this moment.

If that weren’t enough, the emotional chit chat is swiftly followed by a reunion we thought we’d never see – and that’s John and Mary being able to embrace each other once again. It’s no surprise that Sam and Dean got up and allowed for the two lovebirds to have some alone time, because that’s what mommies and daddies do when they love each other very much (I’m certain your own parents gave you “the talk” at some point).

For more info regarding “Lebanon,” be sure to check out the official synopsis:

Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) look to occult lore for a solution to their latest problem, but instead of a resolution, they find much more than either of them had anticipated. Jeffrey Dean Morgan (John Winchester) guest stars. The episode was directed by Robert Singer and written by Andrew Dabb & Meredith Glynn.

Supernatural airs on Thursday nights on The CW.
