Katrina Law Confirmed To Return As Nyssa al Ghul This Season On Arrow

Although we have Arrow to thank for the shared DC TV universe that we enjoy seeing each week on The CW, it's done quite the fine job of establishing its own population of heroes and villains within the borders of Star City. Of course, with it being in the midst of its sixth season, there have been a myriad of characters to fall in love with, but some have understandably resonated with viewers more than others.

One thing that’s so cool about the current season is seeing some familiar faces from the old guard making their respective returns, each of which are arguably among the most popular of supporting and guest characters. So far, we’ve witnessed some memorable episodes featuring Manu Bennett’s Deathstroke and, soon enough, Colton Haynes shall return as Roy Harper.

Adding to the excitement will be another comeback in the form of Katrina Law as Nyssa al Ghul. Being one of the characters whose fate still remained unknown after the blast on Lian Yu – along with her sister, Talia – it’s thrilling to know that we’ll see her appear in episode 6×16, “The Thanatos Guild.” Sure, we’d like to see more of her, but Ms. Law has been quite busy with other projects as of late.

Anyway, here’s what executive producer Marc Guggenheim had to tease:

“In an unforgettable episode that will change ‘Arrow’ forever, Katrina Law returns as the Daughter of the Demon, Nyssa Al Ghul, Nyssa comes to Star City to warn of an impending danger that will threaten everything we know and love.”

Foreboding much? One has to wonder if the “impending danger” has something to do with Cayden James and his cohorts, or if seeds will be planted for season 7. Don’t forget that Cayden James himself was being teased about a year ago at this time, only to officially rear his head in season 6. Additionally, similar things could be said for past big bads like Ra’s al Ghul and Damien Darhk.

Arrow airs on Thursday nights on The CW.
