Legends Of Tomorrow Season 4 Reveals One Beast Of A Trailer

Legends of Tomorrow may have ended its third season earlier than much of its DC TV brethren, but it remains in the hearts and minds of devoted viewers everywhere. After posting what I personally thought to be its finest outing to date, the network has since decided to pair the science fiction series with its progenitor, Arrow, on Monday nights this fall. To be honest, this could end up being my favorite evening of television.

Though I may not’ve required any more incentive to tune in, a new trailer just dropped at San Diego Comic-Con letting us know what’s on the way for Sara Lance, John Constantine and the rest of the Waverider crew. I’d have said “what the future holds,” but you have to admit it feels so strange to apply that saying to a gang of time travelers.

As you can see, the video package consists of footage from both seasons 3 and 4, but the transitions are pretty seamless. Regardless, it looks like the winning formula found last year will spill over into this fall – even if the producers continue overestimating Beebo’s popularity.

For those of you still on the fence, perhaps it’ll be Constantine’s continued involvement that’ll entice you most, and I certainly can’t blame you there. Matt Ryan has proven to be the perfect casting choice for the exorcist time and again, so I can’t wait to see what he brings to the table now that he’s a series regular.

For more, be sure to check out the official synopsis:

After defeating Mallus by cuddling him to death with a giant stuffed animal named Beebo, the Legends were ready to ease off the gas. That was until Constantine arrived to inform them that, in solving one major problem, they have created another, much larger one. When the Legends let time crumble in order to release and defeat Mallus, the barrier between worlds softened. History is now infected with “Fugitives” – magical creatures from myths, fairytales, and legends. Having been expelled throughout time by people like Constantine, these Fugitives are now returning to our world in droves and making a real mess of things. So when all hell breaks loose, who ya gonna call? That’s right, the Legends!

Legends of Tomorrow returns for its fourth season on Monday, October 22 on The CW.
