The Mandalorian is set to bring us into parts of the Star Wars galaxy that the films have yet to touch, and in a new report from MakingStarWars.net, we get a few alleged details on the sort of environment that Jon Favreau’s show could deliver to us.

The first part of the report concerns the armor of the Mandalorian himself, which is said to undergo changes throughout the course of the series, taking its various parts from the Death Troopers and Scarif Troopers he fights, as well as other sources. It’s also rumored that the show will feature “a secret enclave of Mandalorians” where a female armorer resides. This character will be assisting our hero with the various upgrades to his armor in a role that the author of the piece hesitantly compares to Q from the James Bond films. On top of that, it’s said that the culture of the Mandalorians will be fleshed out throughout the series, and that we’ll also be seeing quite a few classic aliens from the Original Trilogy, including Jawas.

Obviously, this should all be taken with the usual grain of salt, though it must be said that MakingStarWars.net has a better track record than most when it comes to delivering genuine leaks. What’s more, Favreau himself pretty much confirmed last month that the series will see the return of some Original Trilogy characters when he shared a photo of the bounty hunt IG-88 from The Empire Strikes Back.

In any case, while a premiere date for The Mandalorian has yet to be announced, we can at least expect the show to come to Disney Plus by the end of the year. In the meantime, there’s reason to believe that we could see our first footage from the series when Star Wars Celebration kicks off this April.
