Men of Steel stick together as David Corenswet throws support behind the Superman reboot that isn’t his

Corenswet wasn't about to be out-wholesomed by his animated counterpart.

Update: July 7, 8:13am – The first two episodes aired at 12:00am today on July 7, not on July 6. They will air on Max tomorrow on July 8.

The Man of Steel, the Last Son of Krypton, Ace Reporter Clark Kent; Superman goes by many mantles, but none fit the DC Comics poster-boy quite as well as that of an all-around great guy, so it’s only natural that the two newest faces to don that iconic red “S” seems to fit that bill to a T.

When Pearl star David Corenswet was named as the talent behind Superman in James Gunn’s upcoming DC Universe franchise, The BoysJack Quaid wasted no time in showing him all the Kryptonian brotherly love in the world; Quaid, of course, is the voice of Supes in the brand new Adult Swim series My Adventures with Superman, which aired its first episodes earlier today before they land on Max tomorrow.

And Corenswet, not to be outdone in the Superman support department, has officially returned the favor; Quaid’s recent Instagram post, in which he promoted the new lighthearted animated series, had its comments section raided by his live-action counterpart, who assured Quaid that he would be tuning in to My Adventures with Superman.

The inter-Superman championing is something you love to see, and is representative of just how healthy the future of DC is looking; between My Adventures with Superman, Suicide Squad Isekai, Matt Reeves’ Batman universe, and the incoming Gunnverse, there’s plenty of DC love to go around in all shapes and sizes. Now, if only the Snyder zealots would quit seething and embrace these exciting new directions; that would be a win for not only their own spirits but for the rest of us who are sick at seeing the increasingly unhinged takes plaguing Twitter.

My Adventures with Superman aired its first two episodes earlier today on Adult Swim, and will be made available to view on Max tomorrow, July 8. New episodes will release in this format on a weekly basis, and the first season will consist of 10 episodes.
