Mos Def Joins Dexter For Season Six

Shortly after reporting that actor Colin Hanks had joined Dexter, it looks like another familiar name has joined Showtime’s hit show. Mos Def will be joining the cast for season six. THR tells us that he will have a multi episode arc as “a hardened ex-con who claims to have found religion yet seems to continually find himself surrounded by violence.” It isn’t known exactly how many episodes Mos Def will appear in but he will be in more than one, that much is known.

Def’s involvement doesn’t really do much for me. In fact, the entire show of Dexter doesn’t really do much for me, at least not anymore. The show was great in its first few seasons but has gone way downhill ever since season 4. I still watch it but I don’t find it nearly as enjoyable as I used to. Hopefully that will change with season six.
