Netflix goes full-on villain mode by removing a critically-acclaimed horror series that deserves a fourth season

This series deserves better.

When it comes to the scope of modern streaming, content giant Netflix is constantly at arms with itself — and the rest of the world, for that matter — as it continuously puts a fork in the hearts of many popular series. And while the global platform is synonymous with pulling the plug on a variety of fantasy shows, it now appears that Netflix has shifted gears towards a severely underrated horror series that undoubtedly deserves a fourth season.

Of course, the series in question would be Ash vs. Evil Dead — a mind-melting spinoff series that borrows familiar elements from the widely praised Evil Dead franchise. As the title would suggest, the critically-acclaimed series centers around fan-favorite protagonist Ashley “Ash” Williams (Bruce Campbell), where Ash and a group of co-workers decide to face their fears and confront the Evil Dead antagonist.

But despite the blood-splattered series boasting a 99 percent Certified Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, Netflix has decided to stab a digger through the Starz’ series nevertheless. As per Bloody Disgusting, the aforementioned series will be removed from the platform on April 28 — which is only a mere week after Evil Dead Rise will begin haunting theaters.

After airing three seasons from 2015 to 2018, the show was eventually canceled due to low viewership, but its strong cult following online would certainly suggest otherwise — with many calling for the show to make a long-awaited return for a fourth season. That being said, those interested in binging Ash vs. Evil Dead before it’s gone should do so before April 28.
