New Arrow Featurette Examines Prometheus’ Twisted Game

Now that the current season of Arrow is winding down, we'll have to witness the final few phases in Prometheus' sick game before getting to the star-studded finale. The first promo for "Honor Thy Fathers" that debuted last week week merely teased us with the big bad's baffling next move, but now we have a little more to go on thanks to a newly released featurette.

Now that the current season of Arrow is winding down, we’ll have to witness the final few phases in Prometheus’ sick game before getting to the star-studded finale. The first promo for “Honor Thy Fathers” that debuted last week week merely teased us with the big bad’s baffling next move, but now we have a little more to go on thanks to a newly released featurette.

In it, executive producer Wendy Mericle slightly elaborates on Adrian Chase’s motivation, while we remain focused on the mysterious crate containing a corpse that has been shipped to Oliver Queen’s office. If you were to ask me, the stiff may very well be the result of our hero’s father, Robert Queen, having done some shady dealings in the past. After all, the series has previously hinted at the late patriarch not being the paragon of virtue that his children thought him to be, so it’s best that we all brace ourselves for the worst.

Keep in mind that Chase succeeded in messing with Oliver’s head several episodes back, causing him to question the reason behind his crusade. But to taint the memory of his dad, well, that’d just take it a step further, yet be entirely within the villain’s rules of engagement given that the Green Arrow had slain his father several years ago.

For more information, be sure to check out the official synopsis below:

Oliver (Stephen Amell) returns to the mayor’s office and faces one of his most pressing issues yet – the forced release of dozens of violent criminals prosecuted by Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra). Meanwhile, a crate is delivered to Oliver’s office containing a mysterious corpse encased in concrete. Laura Belsey directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Sarah Tarkoff.

Arrow airs on Wednesday nights on The CW.
