Frank Castle/The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) was the focus of the first trailer, but this time it’s Matt Murdock’s enigmatic ex that gets the spotlight. It turns out Elektra (Elodie Yung) has come to ask the Man Without Fear for his help in vanquishing the remaining Yakuza – but there seems to be a much more powerful threat lurking in the shadows.

Murdock’s old mentor Stick (Scott Glenn) mentions The Hand: a mystical group of ninjas who use supernatural means to combat their enemies and (in the comics at least) are capable of resurrecting the dead. Will this be carried over to the show? Well, that mysterious hooded figure glimpsed in the trailer is thought to be Nobu – the Yakuza leader we saw meet his end in the first season – so it’s a definite possibility.

Daredevil season 2 will return to Netflix on March 18th, and so far the reviews have been just as positive as the first season reactions.
