The musical crossover between Supergirl and The Flash doesn’t air for another couple of weeks, but there’s already talk of doing a sequel. Whether or not that happens hinges very much on how this first outing is received, and while that remains to be seen, we now have new details on the roles of each character in the upcoming event.

During the crossover, Barry Allen and Kara Danvers will wind up being stuck in the Music Meister’s dream world, and while they’re aware of what’s going on and the fact that they essentially have to sing their way out to escape, the rest of the supporting cast that shows up obviously will not.

So, what will the familiar faces from Supergirl and The Flash be getting up to here? Well, according to a new report, Joe West (Jesse L. Martin), Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) will all be rival mob bosses. Of course, Iris West (Candice Patton) – who we recently learned will have a key role in the crossover – will be the daughter of Joe’s criminal character.

Win Schott (Jeremy Jordan), meanwhile, will play a club pianist, while Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) is an aspiring artist busboy. The action all takes place in a ’40s-era nightclub, something which promises to make this crossover between Supergirl and The Flash pretty different from anything we’ve seen on either show up till now – which was evident from the recent images showing off the unique sets and costumes.

The fun begins on the March 20th episode of Supergirl before the action then moves into the March 21st instalment of The Flash. Will you be tuning in? Let us know in the usual place!
