From what we can tell, next Monday’s instalment of Supergirl, the appropriately titled “Homecoming,” is something the series has been building to since its earliest of episodes. After all, Dean Cain’s Jeremiah Danvers has inarguably been a very key character, regardless of the fact that he pops up sporadically.
While the images seen at the top paint a most jovial picture and show this to be a joyous occasion for the Danvers family, the trailer leads us to believe otherwise. It stands to reason that after being in the clutches of the sinister Cadmus organization for so long that Jeremiah would’ve undergone some Re-Neducation as it were. Therefore, I’m half-expecting to see him betray his most beloved.
No matter the outcome of this episode, I do hope that Cain is available to come back later in the season knowing that his former Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman co-star, Teri Hatcher, will soon be showing up in a villainous role. I know it all comes down to scheduling, but to have those two on the same series and not have a reunion would be a real shame, don’t you think?
