New Walking Dead Clip Sees Negan Come-A-Calling

On this past Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead, we reconnected with Daryl and discovered the horrendous treatment he was receiving while being held captive at Negan’s compound – but during this weekend’s extra-long installment, the smiling psychopath makes the trip to Alexandria for another face-to-face with the man he succeeded in breaking towards the end of the season 7 premiere.

Tonight, AMC released a new sneak peek from the episode, which is titled “Service”, and it provides us with a glimpse of what goes down when Negan shows up with his crew and taps Lucille on Rick Grimes’ front door.

In the comics, the leader of The Saviors takes great pleasure in taunting Rick, knowing full well that he’d never risk any form of reprisal – but unbeknownst to Negan, a plan was being formed. While the show hasn’t given us any indication that Rick is anything other than completely broken at this point, one would assume the wheels are turning. Or at least, we sure hope they are.

Interestingly, you’ll also notice that Negan brought Daryl along for the ride. Was this just to inflict some further torment on the man by allowing him to get so close to home without crossing the threshold, or does the sadistic son of a bitch have something else in mind?

We’ll find out when The Walking Dead returns with a brand new extended episode this Sunday.
