Patrick Mahomes Netflix documentary exact release date and time, trailer, and more

The man, the myth, the Mahomes.

As one of the youngest, most gifted quarterbacks in the entire NFL landscape today, it was certainly only a matter of time until a documentary focused on Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was created. The aforementioned sports documentary series, Quarterback, will be released on Netflix and specifically follow three quarterbacks — one of which is Mahomes. The other two quarterbacks featured in the documentary will be Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins and Atlanta Falcons quarterback Marcus Mariota.

When speaking about the upcoming documentary, Mahomes insisted that he is “excited” for fans to be given an up-close-and-personal glimpse of behind-the-scenes action which QBs occur on the daily as the frontman of the team. The documentary will also explore aspects of Mahomes’ personal life — including the birth of his son in the middle of the NFL season.

After the official NFL Twitter page announced yesterday that the trailer for the documentary would be out today, Patrick Mahones unveiled the trailer over on his Twitter account earlier this morning, insisting the chance for fans to witness the “day-to-day grind.” You can check out the trailer for yourself up above.

The over 2-minute long clip showcases the ins-and-outs of being a QB in the NFL, explaining that an injury to a team’s QB can undoubtedly ruin an entire season — especially if the injury is season-ending. In one moment, Chiefs coach Andy Reid threatens to pull Mahomes from a game, only for Mahomes to argue the decision and proclaim that he is “good.”

When will Quarterback be released?

As revealed at the end of the official trailer, Quarterback will arrive on Netflix on July 12, which is just a little under one month from now. As for the time of release, Netflix usually releases new television shows and docu-series such as this at 3 am ET/12 am PT.
