New Season 4 Poster Provides Even Better Look At The Flash’s New Costume

Think back to when you were in high school. Do you remember that whenever you would return from spring break or summer vacation there were always a fair amount of people rocking new hairstyles and whatnot? Or, if you’re a pro wrestler who wants their comeback to be more impactful after sitting on the sidelines for six months or more, you might upgrade your threads. Likewise, The Flash will seemingly employ that very same logic upon his liberation from the Speed Force.

Actually, we have seen Barry Allen’s new costume before, but with a bit of a twist. You see, when he traveled to 2024 last season in “The Once and Future Flash,” he met his future self who happened to be wearing the very same suit we’re discussing today.

Now, we’ve been granted what’s arguably our best glimpse at the Scarlet Speedster’s new gear thanks to a crisp, vibrant poster being circulated by the network on social media. Actually, this is par for the course of what to expect each fall and, dollars to doughnuts, this’ll be used as the cover art for season 4’s eventual Blu-ray set.

In related news, a synopsis has surfaced for the second episode set to air this fall, “Mixed Signals.” In it, Barry and Iris are said to attend couples therapy. It’s actually quite understandable after all those two have had to endure as of late, but we expect them to smooth things over knowing their wedding is imminent.

Here’s that description:

BARRY AND IRIS GO TO COUPLES THERAPY — Barry (Grant Gustin) has his hands full when he takes on a dangerous meta (guest star Dominic Burgess) who can control technology, while also confronting an obstacle in his personal life: the ramifications of abandoning Iris (Candice Patton) for six months to balance the Speed Force. Meanwhile, Gypsy (guest star Jessica Camacho) breaches in for a hot date with Cisco (Carlos Valdes), but she gets annoyed when his work keeps them apart. Alexandra La Roche directed the episode written by Jonathan Butler & Gabriel Garza (402). Original airdate 10/17/2017.

The Flash returns for its fourth season on Tuesday, October 10 on The CW.
