‘Secret Invasion’s continued bloodshed means we may have a new contender for the MCU’s most hated character

Marvel isn't shying away from introducing outwardly awful characters.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has put some truly dislikable characters on our screens over the years, both in the movies and TV shows. The likes of John Walker, Ultron, and Thanos easily come to mind, but even with all of their wrongdoings, Secret Invasion‘s big bad may very well be about to dethrone them.

Let’s get one thing straight, for Marvel enthusiasts, a planetary invasion that has caused the death of thousands of civilians is sometimes less important than the murder of a few beloved characters. Of course, we’re talking about Cobie Smulders’ and Emilia Clarke’s characters, Maria Hill and G’iah, respectively.

Following the release of Secret Invasion‘s third episode, fans took to social media to express their frustration regarding the show’s most shocking deaths, and they did not go easy on the criticism of their killer. The people are out for blood, and Gravik must pay the price for what he took from all of us.

Okay, so maybe we’re not totally sure if G’iah is actually dead, and there’s proof that we’ll see Emilia Clarke in the show again, but seriously, Gravik’s tendency to shoot badass female characters in cold blood needs to be stopped. If he puts a bullet on Olivia Colman’s Sonya Falsworth next, it’ll be over.

The continued bloodshed and revelations in Secret Invasion have everyone on the edge of their seats and there are still more to come. Let’s just hope Marvel plays its cards right.

Secret Invasion will continue releasing episodes every Wednesday, on Disney Plus.
