Stan Lee And Mark Hamill Team Up For Avengers: Black Panther’s Quest

Since the Mouse House acquired Marvel nearly a decade ago, it slowly but surely made sure all animated properties remained under its watch. Much to the chagrin of True Believers far and wide, this meant cult favorites such as Spectacular Spider-Man and Wolverine and the X-Men were forced to meet an early end so that Disney XD was the only game in town.

While each series to follow have proven divisive, we can at least compliment the network on developing a shared universe similar to what can be enjoyed on the big screen. Serving as a flagship of sorts has been that of Avengers Assemble, which has been no stranger to earning a subtitle for varying seasons not unlike the shows orbiting it.

In this case, the adventures are set to continue in the form of Avengers: Black Panther’s Quest. Considering that T’Challa just made Disney more than a billion dollars at the box office by his lonesome, it’s really no surprise that he be the central focus of the next round of animated outings.

Not that you needed the extra incentive to tune in, but knowing that Stan Lee and Mark Hamill will be involved is bound to turn at least a few heads. When it comes to Hamill – perhaps best known to superhero enthusiasts as being the voice of the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series and various other projects – he’ll once again lend his pipes to the role of Arnim Zola, whom he’s played on several occasions before.

Lee, meanwhile, may have his new character shrouded in mystery, but he offered his colleague the following words of endorsement:

“Because when I hear him read the lines, when I hear how talented he is, how he can do another dialect and become another person, it’s fantastic. I read lines beautifully, but only as myself. I mean, if I had to be Baron Zemo, I wouldn’t know how to do it, but he becomes Baron Zemo.”

Avengers: Black Panther’s Quest premieres this fall on Disney XD.
