The 90 second preview, seen above, reveals that along with the return of the planet comes a figure fans haven’t seen since The Clones Wars. Yes, it’s Bo-Katan Kryze, a former lieutenant in the Death Watch terrorist movement who’s since learned the error of her ways. Handy for those whose knowledge of The Clone Wars is a little shaky, the clip recaps a quick bio of the character. As the sister of Satine, the former Duchess of Mandalore, Bo-Katan’s the rightful ruler of the planet. However, it’s clear that she doesn’t think she’s worthy of the honor.

No doubt Bo-Katan’s reluctance to rise up as the leader of her people will push Sabine to take the stand herself. In the clip we have here, she attempts to give away the Darksaber, the extremely powerful Mandalorian heirloom she acquired in season 3. The recently released images from the premiere, though, depict Sabine proudly wielding the weapon. So, it seems that the character’s change of heart will occur sooner rather than later.

In fact, all our heroes are expected to go on important journeys in Rebels season 4. Ezra Bridger, as well as Kanan, will continue exploring their connection to the Force, and we’ll also get an answer to what happened to Ahsoka Tano after her battle with Darth Vader at the end of season 2, as well as perhaps a hint at her activities during the events of the movies. Finally, we know Hera Syndulla’s destined to become a Rebel leader, thanks to the namecheck of “General Syndulla” in Rogue One.

Star Wars Rebels “Heroes of Mandalore” airs on Disney XD throughout the day on Monday, October 16th.
