Star Wars Rebels is drawing to a close in the next couple of weeks, but we’ve still got a handful of blood-pumping episodes to enjoy before that happens. And now, to get a taste of what’s to come, Disney XD has released this short clip from the next installment, which sees the crew of The Ghost return to the Jedi temple on Lothal.
The footage comes from episode 12, “Wolves and a Door,” which will arrive on Monday alongside the following one, titled “A World Between Worlds.” In addition to the preview, a batch of promo images has also debuted and they tease the crew’s excursion into the temple – as well as an appearance from the big bad himself, Emperor Palpatine.
It looks like things are set to go for our heroes, then, giving them no time to process their recent major loss. If you’ll recall, in the last episode, Kanan Jarrus met his end when he sacrificed himself to save his friends. Sure, fans had been expecting this for some time, but it still came as a bit of a gut punch. Wouldn’t you agree?
A few synopses for the pair of upcoming episodes have already landed online and they hint at the grand evil schemes of the Emperor that the Ghost crew will attempt to foil. What’s more, Ezra Bridger will apparently discover “a stunning revelation” of some kind, though what that may be is up for debate.
“The Wolves and a Door”: Ezra leads the Ghost crew back to the Jedi Temple on Lothal where they discover that the Empire has diabolical plans for the powerful secrets it holds.
“The World Between the Worlds”: The other rebels engage the Imperial forces outside the Jedi Temple, [as] Ezra gains access inside and experiences a stunning revelation.
