As we know, season 7 will see the Emerald Archer locked behind bars at Slabside Maximum Security Prison now that he’s been outed as Star City’s resident vigilante, the Green Arrow. It’s definitely not the usual heroic photo of Amell on display on the poster, as Oliver’s instead depicted as far from his best with cuts and bruises around his sunken eyes. Meanwhile, the tagline on the one-sheet reads: “Revelation and repentance.”

Check it out below and see what you think:

It’s not yet known exactly how long Ollie will remain behind bars, but Amell himself has ruled out the idea that the former mayor will be back on the streets by the end of the premiere. It seems that the storyline will really push Mr. Queen to the end of his rope, as the star’s also promised that the hero will be forced to do something “reprehensible” in order to survive the dog-eat-dog world of Slabside Super Max.

Part of what will make Ollie’s time in jail so hellish is that he’ll be locked up with many of his old enemies who he put in there in the first place. Among those old foes we know to be returning in season 7 are Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White), Derek Sampson (Cody Runnels) and Brick (Vinnie Jones). Hopefully there’ll be some additional surprise cameos left to discover, too.

Tonally, we’ve been told to expect something much more in line with the grittier feel of season 1 this year, though the revamped status quo will also take the show into all-new ““uncharted territory.” And we’ll find out exactly what’s in store next for Oliver Queen when Arrow season 7 arrives on The CW on Monday, October 15th.
