Awesome Fan Art Reimagines Stranger Things Cast As X-Men Characters

If you've seen Stranger Things, which, let's face it, you likely have, you've probably had the thought: "Hey, this is a bit like X-Men." Apparently, that's something which digital artist/uberfan Boss Logic seems to have thought of as well, as he's now taken the similarity and run with it, creating a couple of images that reimagine the kids of Netflix's hit sci-fi show as Marvel heroes.

If you’ve seen Stranger Things, which, let’s face it, you likely have, you’ve probably had the thought: “Hey, this is a bit like X-Men.” Apparently, that’s something which digital artist/uberfan Boss Logic seems to have thought of as well, as he’s now taken the similarity and run with it, creating a couple of images that reimagine the kids of Netflix’s hit sci-fi show as Marvel heroes.

Unsurprisingly, one picture sees Eleven merged with Jean Grey/Phoenix, as there’s a lot of crossover between the two characters. For instance, both struggle to control their growing telekinetic abilities but could be hugely powerful if they let go. In Stranger Things season 2, for example, Eleven managed to close the gate to the Upside Down, even levitating off the ground in the process. It recalled a similar moment when Jean unleashed her powers in 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse.

The second image isn’t quite so obvious, but it’s still clever. It sees Finn Wolfhard’s Mike Wheeler dressed up like Scott Summers/Cyclops. No, Mike doesn’t possess laser vision in Stranger Things but he is romantically linked with Eleven. Just as Cyclops and Jean Grey are usually portrayed as an item.

These are the only two that Boss Logic has completed so far, though he promises that more are on the way. But what other characters could the artist render as X-Men? Well, we can definitely see David Harbour’s Jim Hopper making a good Wolverine. And how about Nancy and Steve as Rogue and Gambit? With Jonathan as Ice-Man?

Speaking of Jonathan, you don’t need to digitally alter actor Charlie Heaton to see him as an X-Men character. The Stranger Things star is swapping Hawkins for the Marvel universe in Fox’s upcoming The New Mutants, where he’s playing Cannonball, opposite a talented young cast including Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) and Anya Taylor-Joy (Split).

Be sure to keep an eye on Boss Logic’s Twitter account over the coming days for more Stranger Things/X-Men mash-ups.
