Supergirl And Others Appear In New DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow Trailer

With just under a week to go until the season 2 premiere of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, The CW has spoiled us with an amazing new extended trailer that hints at the veritable treasure trove of DC riches that the series' producers have access to. I really believe the first season only scratched the surface when it comes to what this show can achieve and, if this new promo video is any indication of what's to come, we're in for a wild 13 episodes.

With just under a week to go until the season 2 premiere of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The CW has spoiled us with an amazing new extended trailer that hints at the veritable treasure trove of DC riches that the series’ producers have access to. I really believe the first season only scratched the surface when it comes to what this show can achieve and, if this new promo video is any indication of what’s to come, we’re in for a wild 13 episodes.

Not only does a returning Jonah Hex factor into the new footage, but we also see Hourman and his Justice Society of America cohorts at their iconic brownstone, which looks every bit as majestic as it did on Smallville. Be sure to also keep your eyes peeled for an encounter between Damien Darhk and The Reverse Flash in what may very well be the beginning of the Legion of Doom, which is also set to include Malcolm Merlyn and Captain Cold.

But what may excite fans most are the appearances by the likes of Supergirl, The Flash, and Green Arrow. This could be our first look at this fall’s unprecedented four-show, four-night crossover or it could be a meeting between the various heroes ahead of it that we have yet to learn of. Either way, we are certainly geeked.

To whet your appetite even more, be sure to give the premiere episode’s synopsis a read:

After the defeat of the immortal villain Vandal Savage and the exposure of the corrupt Time Masters, a new threat emerges. Dr. Nate Heywood (Nick Zano), an unconventional and charming historian, is thrust into the action. After making a shocking discovery, Nate seeks out Oliver Queen (guest star Stephen Amell) for help in finding the scattered Legends. Once reunited, the Legends continue their new mission to protect the timeline from temporal aberrations – unusual changes to history that spawn potentially catastrophic consequences. Their first stop is 1942 to protect Albert Einstein from being kidnapped before the Nazis destroy New York City with a nuclear bomb. Meanwhile, Ray (Brandon Routh) notices that Sara (Caity Lotz) has a mission of her own, which leads them both to face her nemesis, Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough). Victor Garber, Arthur Darvill, Dominic Purcell and Franz Drameh also star. Dermot Downs directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Phil Klemmer and Greg Berlanti & Chris Fedak.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns for its second season on Thursday, October 13 on The CW.
