Supergirl Season 2 Reveals New Image, EP Talks Vancouver Move

It may be safe to assume that the second season of Supergirl is more highly anticipated than the first. Think about it: Not only has her status quo been established, but her cousin Superman will stop by for at least two episodes and she will soon be integrated into The CW's "Arrowverse."

It may be safe to assume that the second season of Supergirl is more highly anticipated than the first. Think about it: Not only has her status quo been established, but her cousin Superman will stop by for at least two episodes and she will soon be integrated into The CW’s “Arrowverse.”

While we eagerly await some new footage, be sure to check out the new image at the top, which appears courtesy of the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. In it, the Maiden of Might aggressively stops a car in motion. One can only assume that either she’s in the heat of battle or a nefarious character is behind the wheel.

Following up on recent comments regarding the show’s move from Los Angeles to Vancouver made by his colleague, Greg Berlanti, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg had this to say about that very topic:

“[The show] would’ve started to feel very small if we continued in L.A. That was one of the reason[s] we made the decision to move, so that we could get scope and go out in the streets.”

“So yes, it might be a little rainy once in a while, and we might see her breath, but it’s going to be worth it because the show is actually going to feel bigger.”

Quite frankly, the relocation is completely understandable. Not only does the move to Vancouver likely help from a budgeting standpoint, but crossing over with shows such as ArrowThe Flash, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow would likely be a scheduling nightmare, given the fact that we know the show will participate in at least two crossovers this season.

Supergirl returns for its second season on Monday, October 10 on The CW.
