Per Deadline, the network’s upfront presentation has confirmed that Supergirl has been shifted to Sunday for the first time in three years, leaving the Monday night slot free for Arrow, the DC Comics series that’s now on the verge of a “massive and insane” season finale. Look for it to light up The CW later this evening.

Other shows affected by this switcheroo include the network’s Charmed reboot, while the likes of Supernatural (Thursdays), Black Lightning (Tuesdays) and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (Mondays) all maintain their existing timeframe.

In a statement, The CW president Mark Pedowitz outlined his mission to boost the amount of original programming from October onwards.

Starting in October, we will have 12 hours of original scripted series on our schedule – more than any other broadcast network besides CBS.
